Table Feeder

Overview

A Table Feeder is a mechanical feeding device used to control the flow of bulk materials such as powders, granules, and coarse materials from storage bins or hoppers into downstream processing equipment. It’s commonly used in industries requiring regulated, consistent material discharge — such as cement, mining, chemical, and fertilizer plants.

What is a Table Feeder?

A Table Feeder consists of a circular or rectangular rotating table mounted beneath a storage silo or hopper. Material drops onto the rotating table and is scraped off using adjustable blades or arms, allowing precise control over the discharge rate.

  1. Bulk material is stored in a hopper or bin above the feeder.
  2. The rotating table at the bottom turns at a controlled speed.
  3. Material flows outward due to centrifugal or gravitational force.
  4. Scraper blades or paddles guide the material to a discharge chute or conveyor.
  5. The feed rate is adjusted by changing the table’s speed or scraper blade position.
